Bajo estos preceptos del Congo, los comit\u00e9s de ONG CSW ayudaron a planificar los foros de las ONG en las conferencias mundiales de Naciones Unidas en M\u00e9xico, Copenhague, Nairobi y Beijing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">Al amparo de \u00a0la Agenda 2030,\u00a0 El Comit\u00e9 de ONG CSW, New York, decidi\u00f3\u00a0 otorgar este a\u00f1o el premio a dos mujeres<strong>, Amina Mohamed<\/strong>, una abogada keniana, diplom\u00e1tica y pol\u00edtica, que se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Directora Ejecutiva Adjunta del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente,\u00a0 y\u00a0 Secretaria del Gabinete de Asuntos Exteriores de Kenia; \u00a0fue\u00a0 tambi\u00e9n la\u00a0 presidenta, coordinadora y portavoz del grupo africano en la Comisi\u00f3n de Derechos Humanos de la OMC, y actu\u00f3 como Presidente de la Conferencia de Desarme. Ha sido la primera mujer \u00a0presidenta de la Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional para las Migraciones, y \u00a0la Primera Mujer en presidir el Consejo General de la OMC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">La segunda distinci\u00f3n corresponde a <strong>Bandana Rana <\/strong>de Nepal, \u00a0es periodista y ha\u00a0 trabajado para la televisi\u00f3n de Nepal durante veinte a\u00f1os,\u00a0 fund\u00f3 Sancharika Samuha (Foro de la Mujer en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n) y fue su primera presidenta elegida de 1998 a 2006. Tambi\u00e9n fue la primera mujer en ser nombrada en el consejo de administraci\u00f3n de Radio Nepal y la primera mujer\u00a0 de la Junta de Consejo de la Prensa Nacional.\u00a0 Tambi\u00e9n es expresidenta de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de la Mujer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">Bandana <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">\u00a0defensora de la Resoluci\u00f3n 1325, fue la arquitecta clave en la elaboraci\u00f3n del Plan de Acci\u00f3n Nacional de Nepal sobre la aplicaci\u00f3n de la Resoluci\u00f3n 1325 y 1820 con el Ministerio de Paz y Reconstrucci\u00f3n. Ella lidera el grupo de monitoreo de la sociedad civil &#8220;Grupo de Acci\u00f3n 1325&#8221; y \u00a0lleva\u00a0 a cabo la formaci\u00f3n de la Resoluci\u00f3n en la India, Filipinas, Afganist\u00e1n e Irak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">Catalogada como una de las principales l\u00edderes del movimiento de mujeres de su pa\u00eds, ha dedicado m\u00e1s de 25 a\u00f1os al trabajo voluntario activo en la promoci\u00f3n de los derechos de la mujer y la igualdad de g\u00e9nero, a trav\u00e9s de las diferentes organizaciones y redes que ha fundado y servido. Ha trabajado desde la base hasta el nivel nacional, regional y global para abordar las preocupaciones de las mujeres sobrevivientes de la violencia y el conflicto, las mujeres marginadas e indigentes y su potenciaci\u00f3n. Ha dirigido, dise\u00f1ado y promocionado investigaciones y programas de divulgaci\u00f3n y movilizaci\u00f3n de la comunidad p\u00fablica de los derechos de la mujer durante varios a\u00f1os. Su trabajo lo ha desempe\u00f1ado en el \u00e1rea de violencia contra las mujeres, la transformaci\u00f3n de conflictos de g\u00e9nero, construcci\u00f3n de paz y creado medios de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">Actualmente es \u00a0Coordinadora Fundadora de la Red Nacional de Beijing,\u00a0 y \u00a0Coordinadora Fundadora de la Red Nacional contra la Violencia Dom\u00e9stica, es tambi\u00e9n una de las fundadoras y la presidenta ejecutiva (2009-2015) de Saathi, una \u00a0ONG pionera fundada en 1992, que trabaja en la prevenci\u00f3n de la violencia contra las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">Rana<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\"> es \u00a0miembra del Grupo Asesor Regional de Asia y el Pac\u00edfico, para Mujeres, Paz y Seguridad de la ONU en la CESPAP. Tambi\u00e9n se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como miembra del Grupo Consultivo de Alto Nivel para el Estudio Global de las Naciones Unidas sobre la aplicaci\u00f3n de la resoluci\u00f3n 1325,\u00a0 y forma parte\u00a0 \u00a0del Grupo Asesor de la Sociedad Civil Global Mujeres de la ONU; fue la oradora en la cumbre de la sociedad civil de la ONU\u00a0 con \u00a0los l\u00edderes mundiales que se reunieron
