The Politics of Intersubjective  Universalism in Herman Melville&#8217;s <em>Clarel<\/em>&#8220;. La tesis analiza el proyecto pol\u00edtico de la obra del escritor <strong>Herman Melville<\/strong> a trav\u00e9s del poema narrativo <em>Clarel: A Poem and Pilgrimage in the Holy Land<\/em> (1876). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" \/><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 10pt;\" \/>Partiendo de los an\u00e1lisis sobre comunidad, relaciones  interpersonales, \u00e9tica global y universalismo de te\u00f3ricas y te\u00f3ricos  contempor\u00e1neos como, por ejemplo, <strong>Hannah Arendt, Zygmunt Bauman, Judith  Butler, Ernesto Laclau, Emmanuel Levinas <\/strong>y<strong> Jean-Luc Nancy,<\/strong> entre otros,  el estudio argumenta que\u00a0<em>Clarel <\/em>es portador del <em>universalismo intersubjetivo<\/em>,  proyecto pol\u00edtico que se crea a trav\u00e9s de la intersubjetividad.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 10pt;\">Este  proyecto se encuentra dividido entre el potencial democratizador que el  autor sit\u00faa en las relaciones interpersonales y la triste consciencia de  que los seres humanos quiz\u00e1 nunca materializar\u00e1n este potencial. El  estudio analiza c\u00f3mo <em>Clarel<\/em> expone la necesidad, las  posibilidades y las dificultades de la intersubjetividad para el  desarrollo de relaciones humanas m\u00e1s democr\u00e1ticas, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los muros  del individualismo y las comunidades tradicionales organizadas sobre  nociones como el estado-naci\u00f3n, la raza, la cultura, la afiliaci\u00f3n  religiosa o las identidades sexuales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: 8pt;\">*<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Viernes 18 de octubre de 2013 a las 10h en la <\/span>Sala de Graus, Edifici Hist\u00f2ric, 2n pis.
