L’advocada i activista de drets humans Basma Khalfaoui<\/strong>, v\u00eddua del l\u00edder opositor Shokri Belaid<\/strong> assassinat a trets el passat 6 de febrer de 2013, pronunciar\u00e0 a l’IEMed<\/a> aquest proper dimarts 18 de juny una confer\u00e8ncia <\/a>sobre el paper de les dones en l’actual proc\u00e9s de consolidaci\u00f3 de l’estabilitat i la democr\u00e0cia a Tun\u00edsia.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Basma Khalfaoui<\/strong> (Tunis, 1971) ha estat implicada en la lluita pels drets humans i la democr\u00e0cia a Tun\u00edsia des del r\u00e8gim de Ben Ali<\/strong>. A mitjans dels anys noranta ingressa a la Uni\u00f3 General d’Estudiants Tunisians i a l’Associaci\u00f3 Tunisiana de Dones Dem\u00f2crates, des d’on defensa els drets de les dones i la igualtat d’oportunitats. El 1999 coneix a Shokri Belaid<\/strong>, que ja era una figura pol\u00edtica de l’esquerra, i s’hi cas\u00e0 l’any 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’any 2012 s’adhereix al Moviment de Patriotes Dem\u00f2crates Unificats (El Watad), el partit amb qu\u00e8 Belaid <\/strong>accedeix al primer parlament tunisi\u00e0 democr\u00e0ticament escollit. El 6 de febrer de 2013, Belaid<\/strong> cau assassinat a trets davant de casa seva i Khalfaoui <\/strong>es converteix en la v\u00eddua de la primera v\u00edctima d’un assassinat pol\u00edtic a la Tun\u00edsia postrevolucion\u00e0ria. Un dia despr\u00e9s, Khalfaoui <\/strong>es converteix en una figura p\u00fablica reconeguda en encap\u00e7alar el multitudinari seguici f\u00fanebre que recorre la capital del pa\u00eds. Khalfaoui<\/strong>, mare de dues filles, assegura que seguir\u00e0 la lluita del seu marit en la defensa de la llibertat, la just\u00edcia, la dignitat i la democr\u00e0cia.<\/span><\/p>\n

La confer\u00e8ncia t\u00e9 lloc amb motiu de la presentaci\u00f3 del monogr\u00e0fic El Mediterr\u00e1neo de las Mujeres<\/em>, corresponent al darrer n\u00famero de la revista Quaderns de la Mediterr\u00e0nia.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’endem\u00e0, 19 de juny, Basma Khalfaoui-Belaid<\/strong> tornar\u00e0 a parlar en el Segon Cicle de Jornades Feministes*’ organitzat pel Col\u00b7lectiu Ronda, en una Taula Rodona formada per les tamb\u00e9 tunisianes Afef Tlili<\/strong>, activista, i Nahed Lajini<\/strong>, advocadessa.<\/span><\/p>\n
